Five adult student graduates stand with their diplomas

"In less than 3 months, I became a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and earned my high school diploma.  At graduation I was awarded a cord for perfect attendance, and a cord for National Adult Education Honor Society.  I truly don't think I could have done it without the amazing support of the staff and friends I made." ~Katie Willison

The Adult Diploma Program offers individuals 20 years or older the opportunity to earn their high school diploma and an industry-recognized credential at the same time at no cost to the student. ACWHCC offers four Adult Diploma programs: Dental Assisting, Essential Office Technologies, Phlebotomy Technology, and Fundamental Welding. Students must complete the program requirements, pass the associated industry-recognized credential and earn a composite score of a 14 on the WorkKeys test. This is all available on the ACWHCC campus.

This year six individuals completed the requirements and earned their high school diploma issued by the Ohio Department of Education. One student earned both the Ohio State Dental Board Radiographer’s Certificate and Registered Dental Assistant credential through the Dental Assisting program. One student earned the Microsoft Office Specialist Word and PowerPoint certifications through the Essential Office Technologies program. Two students earned the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician credential. Two students earned the American Welding Society Gas Metal Arc Welding certifications.
