Guidance Department
The Guidance Department at ACWHCC provides the following services for high school students:
- Enrolls new students
- Conducts the sophomore recruitment programming, presentations and visitations
- Coordinates and conducts 8th grade tours
- Provides academic counseling and advising for all students
- Is the liaison between ACWHCC and home school guidance departments
- Does class scheduling and credit checks for all students
- Monitors failure issues for all students
- Refers students to school and community liaison for personal counseling as needed
- Refers students to AYUDAME Help Center for tutoring services as needed
- Provides college selection, application and testing information
- Oversees National Technical Honor Society organization activities
