Animal and Veterinary Science

Program Information

This is the program for students who would like to work with a wide variety of live animals and develop skills related to preventive care, laboratory diagnostics, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, and more.  Students will prepare for multiple career pathways such as animal research, training, breeding, and veterinary fields, as well as careers in the human health field.

Students in this program may qualify for college credit.

  • Veterinary Offices as an Assistant

AVS Invades the County Fair
With homework assignments in hand, AVS students hit the Ashland County Fair for a day.  The homework scavenger hunt took the students all over the fairgrounds with time to pet the sheep and talk with a horse owner.
