POSITION:  Technology Supervisor

LOCATION: Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center 1783 State Route 60, Ashland, Ohio 44805

QUALIFICATIONS: ● Associate’s degree in computer science or alternative training/experience that meet district and state department of education requirements. ● Demonstrates a complete understanding of technology applications in an academic environment substantiated by training/work experience. ● Available to work irregular hours/non-traditional schedule as an “on-call” employee when required. ● Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks. ● Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct. ● Exemplifies visionary/resolute leadership skills in developing/managing people. ● Exhibits effective time management and resourceful problem-solving skills.

DUTIES: ● Participates as an active member of the administrative team. ● Prepares the instructional technology component of the district’s comprehensive strategic plan. ● Evaluates, develops and implements disaster recovery procedures. Resolves connectivity and internal technical problems. Avoids disrupting building activities except during emergencies. ● Manages the upkeep of technology equipment. Schedules/monitors repairs by outside vendors. ● Coordinates district technology resource audits and maintains an inventory database. ● Provides all students full access to educational opportunities and helps teachers incorporate technology resources. ● Updates skills as needed to use available task-appropriate technology effectively.

START DATE: Immediate

SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS: Appropriate placement on the Technology Supervisor Salary Schedule.

WORK YEAR: 260 Days

Manufacturing Education Instructor

CERTIFICATION:

Career-Technical or Vocational Certificate/License in  Manufacturing Education (or the ability to get one)

QULAIFICATIONS:

●        Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education

●        Industry based experience in the field of manufacturing and/or furniture/cabinetry-making preferred.

●        Strong organizational, communication, human relations, instructional, classroom management, team and public relations/community skills.

●        A sincere interest and a commitment to work with students, parents, staff, businesses, community organizations and associate district schools.

DUTIES:

●        Teach high school students skills and knowledge in the field of manufacturing.

●        Work closely with the immediate supervisor, advisory committee and academic teachers to coordinate instruction and to prepare students for successful completion of the manufacturing program. 

●        Teach and manage labs in the manufacturing program.

●        Work with the other manufacturing education staff to develop, maintain, and promote the school’s Manufacturing Educational Program;

●        Plan, direct and evaluate the instructional process to best meet the needs of students.

START DATE:

2017-2018 School Year (August 2017)

CLASSIFIED POSITIONS

Bus Driver – Part-time. 

Qualifications:  Individual holding valid commercial (CDL) Class B license with school bus passenger endorsement to drive students on field trips as-needed. Criminal records check, bus driver physical, random drug/alcohol tests, and training to maintain license are required.

Pay:  $14.75 per hour.

ADULT EDUCATION POSITIONS

 

POSITION:  Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) instructor 

DUTIES:  A perfect opportunity for a retired teacher to actively help students to improve their knowledge in pre-developmental basic literacy, as well as GED test preparation.  Areas of instruction needed are Science and Math. 

TIME:  12-20 hours per week and negotiable. 

LOCATION:  Instructional delivery at Ashland Professional Building, Salvation Army Kroc Center in Ashland, and Holmes County Jail in Millersburg.

POSITION:  Phlebotomy Instructor


ACWHCC is hiring a part-time Phlebotomy Instructor two nights a week from 5:30p.m.-9:30 p.m.
This is a team teaching position. Program runs Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday,
beginning March 14th. Must have five years experience performing phlebotomy duties.
